Design in Experiences

For their website relaunch, we were approached by Blitz, an award winning full-service agency from Santa Monica, California to help them explain the approach they use when working with clients. To achieve this we teamed up once again with Nord Nord to create a fun little world that breaks down the complexities Blitz's philosophy. We had to consider the output and possible interactivity options that might be added in the future. For this we developed a system of interconnected audio and video loops that can also be displayed in a linear animation, as displayed above. We additionally worked closely with them on the concept, wording and sound design.

READY FOR LIFTOFF

The creative team from NVIDIA, the worldwiede leader in visual computing and inventor of the GPU, commissioned us once again to help them explain a new product, the GRID vGPU. The challenge this time was to create an explanation video that showed all the main features in about 60 seconds and could also work at conferences without a voice over, as well as online. To transmit the message in any situation we developed a system of labels and on-screen text transitions, that communicate everything without missing any part of the message. The video was displayed after the launch during the VMWorld Conference at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

You can’t escape the change

2013 turns into 2014.

At the turn of the years, you’ve got a perfect view in two directions: to the past and to the future. In the last 12 months, we have broadened our creative constellations. Successfully finished international projects. Won prizes and awards. We’ve achieved and learned a lot.

And in the next year? Our event series Out The Box will take place for the seventh time and will again bring together notable designers and visitors from all over Germany. With a keen sense for the extraordinary, we will start the projects already scheduled. And are looking forward to the tasks, contacts and subjects yet to come. We are ready to achieve more – and to learn more.

summly App intro video

An intro video for a mobile news service summly, an app that makes summaries out of news and is 100%-optimized for the mobile screen size. Summly was founded by the 16 year-old Nick D'Aloisio and the iOS App was released to the public on the 1st of November 2012. After installing the App for the first time, this 30 second intro video appears fullscreen. The goal of the video was to showcase the most important parts of the App and to give a feeling of the highly intuitive swipe and touch interface. The video was designed for portrait viewing on the iPhone 5, but also considering the smaller display of older iOS devices.

WHERE THINGS COME FROM

SEQ_15_02.jpg

The internet has established itself as a repository of knowledge. The lion’s share of the world’s knowledge, experience and information resides on server farms and can be accessed by anyone at any time.

The work focuses on the shift of knowledge onto the internet and a question that arises from that shift: What will we still want to know when all information is permanently available?

Through an emotional grandfather/grandson relationship, the trailer illustrates how the transfer of knowledge has changed in the last three generations. At the same time, it deals with the difference between analogue and digital knowledge.

The video won several awards, among them the ADC (Art Directors Club, Germany) newcomer award 2013.
